Self Realization

“Who am I?” ; I asked,
The question remained unanswered,
Day and night the thought echoed,
I started becoming perturbed.

Slowly the voice became clear,
I was gripped by reverential fear,
I thought it is time to hear,
The ideas reached my interior.

Realise your “SELF”, I was told,
It has mysteries unfold,
Happiness lies within unbound,
Unaware of this we are going around.

“Go the way you came” remarked Sri Ramana,
For doing this we’ve to do Sadhana,
It is a song of Arogana,
It has got no Avarogana.

First step for self realization,
Watch continuously your action,
The demand is just for your concentration,
All it needs is your devotion.

This is a path of eternity,
This leads to divinity,
This makes you the embodiment of purity,
This gives you sanctity.

This is a thorn-free road,
Through which Maharshi strode,
This is an ethical code,
This leads to His abode.

Fix this as your ultimate goal,
Bring your mind under control,
Make sure of in this world your role,
Conclude the “Truth” is the soul.

Realise the world is unreal,
Then you never become feral,
Put yourself through trial,
The Peace experienced is eternal.

This introspection is of real worth,
The Knowledge acquired has no dearth,
This brings to your life mirth,
That is the end of your birth.

“Who am I”?; the question was asked,
“You are That” I heard,
All my doubts vanished,
I became Self-possessed.
